Finding the Flow
Getting the first name and surname to work together takes some practice. The rhythm of two or three syllables together matters more than people realize until they try it themselves.
Testing Combinations
Say your full name out loud - a lot. Does it roll off the tongue or feel awkward? Some names that seem perfect in isolation fall apart with certain surnames. Listen to how it sounds when you're calling your child for dinner!
Letter Connections
Pay attention to starting letters too. The same letter at the start of first and last name can sound either stylish (like Maria Rodriguez) or clunky (like Michael Miller). Trust your ear!
